I grew up in rural Wiltshire and have worked in the field of design for many years, both in England and in France. By way of a long journey, I now work from my studio in Stroud, where I live with my wife and children.
Aqueous arts is the term I now use for all my creative output. Music, writing, photography and video work. Music has always been my main creative output, I first started experimenting with tape on an old reel to reel machine before progressing with synthesisers and computers. However, despite the interest in electronics I have a love for the sound of the piano.
In the late nineties, I co-produced a film of signed nursery rhymes for disabled children and this opened my eyes to the possibilities of working with the moving image. I now work on short videos which explore my desire to create a dreamlike state for the viewer.
I have worked with photography ever since its introduction to me through my time at art school. I am fascinated by light and shade, and by rhythm and repetition in form and shape.

Bought together by our shared enthusiasm for the music of the ‘godfather of ambient music’, Hans-Joachim Roedelius and subsequent collaboration with him on ‘meeting the magus’. The work with Felix Jay followed a raison d’être of ‘everything played, everything live’ resulted in four exquisite CD releases and it continues to be my modus operandi.
